30 years’ experience in the logistics industry with leading positions in transportation, warehousing, contract logistics, sea freight, air freight and freight forwarding with the world as the arena. Customer cases

A large European wholesaler in the electronics industry approached MMC for assistance with the procurement of their distribution logistics. MMC conducted an analysis of the flows and related administrative and electronic flows, created a professional procurement and carried out, together with the customer, meetings and negotiations with suppliers. This generated a solution with a cost reduction of 15%, a transport solution that fulfills the client’s needs, a valuable offering to the customer’s customer, and a reduction of internal resources about 2 people annually. The project was completed on schedule and with the promised results.

A large Nordic wholesaler of concrete products and stone searched MMC help to optimize warehouse locations and later import flows by sea. With years of experience in the area MMC analyzed flows and came with a spreadsheet and recommendation on the reduction of warehouses and unnecessary logistics activities. Then MMC created a purchasing and ordering model that gave reduced, competitive and predictable ocean freight costs for import flows. This resulted in a considerable cost reduction, impacting both internal and external costs. The project was completed on schedule and with the promised results.

MMC was contracted as a logistics manager for hireat one of Sweden’s largest chain companies. The mission was warehouse move to a new central warehouse operated by a contract logistics provider, implementation of a new supplier of distribution transportation and a general improvement of procedures and the general approach at the logistics operation department of the company. The project resulted in a functioning new warehouse solution, a new operative transport solution that was further optimized, new procedures for procurement of goods at current Incoterms, a general educational effort directed to relevant personnel within the supply chain organisation and an extended control by introducing a structured and coherent approach. The project was completed on schedule and with the promised results.

A significant e-commerce company in Europe was seeking help with their overall flows for a major stock move. MMC’s resource undertook an analysis which gave the activities required in the procedures for purchasing and vendor instructions, incoterms, IT support was substandard and an implementation plan for the warehouse missing. MMC created, together with the customer, what was needed and led the implementation, procurement, and other activities. The project was completed on schedule and with the promised results.
